The main objectives of this workshop is to produce an XR Book Jacket and ‘Loss’ design for Section-Page whilst working with the process of letterpress with the aim to produce a series of prints for both the single internal ‘section-page’ and the book cover for this forthcoming poetry book.

 

My goal when producing the letterpress is to produce innovative and contemporary design work. Letterpress has a tactile impact and unique visual and has re-emerged as a popular print medium.

 

These two workshops for rebel talk will help me to work closely with metal type and wood letter whilst exploring the creative possibilities of typographic design. The aim for each of these sessions is to produce a series of prints which use the principles of metal and wood type.

We are creatively required to evidence a series of prints that sue the words ‘Rebel Talk’ for the front cover design of the book. As well as working with the section word provide to you which for me personally is ‘Loss’. Again producing a series of prints in both blind-printing process and ink. This is for the inside section page we have been allocated.
